By accessing or using AlertFlow ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
These terms apply to:
- The free version of AlertFlow
- The PRO version with paid features
- All services provided through alertflow.me and api.walup.net
- Any associated documentation, support, and resources
2. License Grant
Free Version
The free version of AlertFlow is licensed under GPL v2 or later. You may:
- Use the App on unlimited AlertFlow installations
- Modify the App code for personal use
- Redistribute modified versions under GPL v2
PRO Version
The PRO version is proprietary software licensed per device or organization. You may:
- Install on the number of devices specified in your license
- Receive updates and support during active subscription
- Use PRO features as documented
You may NOT:
- Share your license key with others
- Redistribute PRO features or code
- Reverse engineer proprietary components
3. User Accounts
When you create an AlertFlow account:
- Eligibility: You must be 18 years or older or have parental consent
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining account credentials securely
- Accurate Information: You must provide accurate, current information
- Account Responsibility: You are responsible for all activity under your account
- Notification: Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
4. Payment Terms
Pricing & Billing
- PRO subscriptions are billed annually or as specified at purchase
- Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
- All fees are in USD unless otherwise stated
- Automatic renewal can be canceled anytime before renewal date
Refund Policy
- 30-Day Guarantee: Full refund within 30 days of purchase
- No Questions Asked: Email [email protected] for refund
- Annual Plans: Prorated refunds after 30 days at our discretion
- Disputed Charges: Contact us before initiating chargeback
5. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use AlertFlow for:
- Illegal activities or violation of laws
- Harassment, abuse, or harm to others
- Spam, phishing, or malicious content distribution
- Circumventing security features
- Automated abuse or excessive API calls
- Hosting illegal content or malware
- Impersonating others or providing false information
6. Service Availability
Uptime: We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
Maintenance: Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible.
Force Majeure: We are not liable for service interruptions due to circumstances beyond our control.
7. Intellectual Property
- AlertFlow Trademark: "AlertFlow" and logos are our trademarks
- Free Version: GPL v2 licensed, source available
- PRO Features: Proprietary code, all rights reserved
- User Content: You retain ownership of your customizations
- Feedback: Suggestions you provide may be used without compensation
8. Privacy & Data
Our Privacy Policy governs data collection and use. Key points:
- The App stores data locally on your AlertFlow database
- No external data transmission except for license verification (PRO)
- Security logs stored per your configuration
- You control all data retention settings

9. Disclaimers & Limitations
No Warranty
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
Limitation of Liability
WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
- Damages exceeding amounts paid for the service in past 12 months
- Issues arising from third-party apps or hosting
Security Disclaimer
While we implement security best practices, no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining secure server configurations
- Keeping AlertFlow and apps updated
- Using strong passwords and 2FA
- Regular backups of your device
10. Termination
By You: Cancel subscription anytime from your account dashboard.
By Us: We may suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in abusive behavior
- Use the service for illegal purposes
- Fail to pay fees when due
Effect of Termination: PRO features disabled, data retained per our Privacy Policy, option to export settings before deletion.
11. Support
- Free Users: Community support via AlertFlow.org forum
- PRO Users: Priority email support with <4 hour response time
- Enterprise: Dedicated support channel with SLA
- Support Hours: 9am-6pm EST, Monday-Friday
Support does not include:
- Custom development or coding
- Server configuration or hosting issues
- Third-party app conflicts (we'll identify, not fix)
12. Updates & Changes
App Updates: Free and PRO versions receive regular updates. Critical security updates are automatic.
Terms Updates: We may modify these terms with notice:
- Material changes: 30 days advance notice
- Minor changes: Updated "Last Updated" date
- Continued use constitutes acceptance
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Dispute Resolution:
- Informal resolution: Contact [email protected] first
- Arbitration: Binding arbitration in Washington county, MD
- Class Action Waiver: You agree to individual disputes only
14. Miscellaneous
- Entire Agreement: These terms constitute the complete agreement
- Severability: Invalid provisions don't affect remaining terms
- No Waiver: Failure to enforce doesn't waive rights
- Assignment: You may not assign rights; we may assign to successors
- Force Majeure: Not liable for events beyond reasonable control
